Unfortunately there is no latest news. Before Christmas, we heard that the Assembly call-in team expected the planning application to come before Caerphilly County Council's planning committee in the new Year. Then Cadw told us it would be in February.
It seems that all efforts to persuade the Minister to call in the application have failed. We do not yet have a definite date for the planning committee meeting.
Residents of Caerphilly County Borough Council are urged to write to their local county councillor telling them that they do not want them to agree to housing development at Ruperra. Names and addresses can be found on the Caerphilly website www.caerphilly.gov.uk
