A cold wind blew in through the barn door!
You'll be glad to know however that the hay bales kept us warm and we had a very pleasant and interesting evening. Our usual members faithfully turned up and also some people who had come specially to hear Mike Parker. He encouraged us to be proud of our Welsh Heritage and always to believe that it is worth fighting to protect Ruperra Castle.
We don't knowe where the pear trees grew that gave Rhiwperrau its name but we all enjoyed either the pear cider or the Peartiser on offer, as well as the lovely buffet.Very Many thanks to Anthony and Alex Rees of Home Farm for once again welcoming us to their very old and historic barn and arranginf the hay bales for us.
COME AND VIIT OUR STALL AT THE mACHEN SHOW THIS SATURDAY JULY 2ND WE'LL BE IN THE CRAFT TENT.
