The Welsh Assembly takes over Jurisdiction

A spokesperson for the Planning Inspectorate has made the following statement.
" ....under the authority of the Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing, one of the Welsh Ministers who has been allocated this function, I hereby decree that the above appeal shall be determined by the Welsh Ministers. This means that instead of writing a decision the Inspector will prepare a report, which will be forwarded to the Welsh Ministers for decision.
The reason for this is because the proposed development raises issues of more than local importance."

The new Ruperra Castle Preservation Trust, as distinct from Ruperra Consetrvation Trust, has been given Rule 6 Status which estblishes that it will be able to be representaed along with other organisations at the Public Inquiry on April 21 2009. The date for sending in submissions for this has been extended to October 22.
Members of the public may still send in their comments about the appeal if wished and email is welcomed.
